This is a photo of local restored wetlands down the road from my house. It is completely full now, but at other times of the year it’s dry. It’s a beautiful spot to walk through and is an important place for the critically endangered eastern suburbs banksia scrub. I think this place adds so much to the neighbourhood, and it’s an important reminder of what good can be achieved when humans come together to restore nature. I hope that future generations will be able to enjoy this place, which is why I want nature to be protected and prioritised by world leaders.
I love the old eucalypts in parks and reserves. They represent wisdom and resilience to me. Nature is resilient if we protect it from harm, which is my hope.
One of my favourite nature spots is the Royal National Park. I love the native plants and flowers in abundance there
